Can you discribe where you put them? I have a kit I'd like to put in and had a feeling I'd come up with the same problem. When I had a quick look I thought the bottom corner of the trailing edge of the door would be the spot to mount them. Is that where you put them? What did you do with the wiring that goes from the door to the body of the car?

    Thanks.

well yeh as u said the bottem corner of the door but it depends on how long the rod go from the motors to the locks but iv still gotta figur out a plan to run the wiring into the door i might pull the door off and drill a few holes and then buy some rubber gromets but ill see if my dad has any ideas hes a panel beater so he's worked on these car before pulling doors off and crap like that

i just asked my old man and he was saying that when people install aftermarket electrics in the doors they just drill a hole in the door and run the wirer through and u can use what ever you want to cover the wirers im gonna be using some of the plastic tube stuff u use to cover wirers or hide em

"plastic tube stuff" or conduit will fold in half as you close the door and eventually split. one member on here once found some of the rubber boots they use on modern cars and used that. personally i drilled a hole large enough for the wires to slide in and out of the A pillar, sealed it with a grommet, and ran a piece of coat hanger wire taped into the loom, so when the door opens and closes the wire slides in and out rather than folding. it looks pretty ugly though.

also, you will find a little squre cut out of the door inner when you take the door card off, just below the lock mechanism. the lock solenoid should go on that and you drill a hole in the plastic L shaped-thingie for your wire to go through. you need to keep the solenoids as close to the locks as possible.

i have nfi where you are installing your solenoids, but here is a pic based on my crappy memory of what the inside of the door looks like. the solenoid goes NO WHERE NEAR the window. the only thing to watch is your wires which you will need to zip tie to the inner door skin.
