rb30 vk conversion

Hey all I'm currently doing a rb30 conversion into my vk I alredy have engine and gear box in all fine except for tue transmision mount doesn't line up its a 5 speed gear box just wondering if anyone has done this and if anyone can help

What sort of 5 speed is it?

If its the same as a VL it should bolt up with the VL gear box mount.

Did you use the VL engine frame?

^^ same as above. it all should go together the same as a VL, using all the VL mounts and crossmembers. What gearbox crossmember are you using?

From memory the VL floor pan is different the rail is higher on the left hand side then the right hand side to accommodate the cat. You can use your existing gearbox x member and weld a short length of angle to it. Drill holes to line up with the existing holes in the chasis and use a T400 auto gearbox mount or get a x member already made up by CRS and use a T400 auto mount.

I am positive. My son and I converted his VH to a RB30turbo 5 speed. It is a weapon.

I've posted a question on the forum, but perhaps you can help. How/where did you locate the catalytic converter in your VH RB30 conversion?
