Dash lights not working vk

I have a problem with my vk berlina has a standard dash but dash lights stopped working after new radio install head lights still work and interior lights still work but dash wont work fueses are fine and the adjustment near the head light switch I dont know??? but is up any ideas????thanks guys

Unplug the new radio and see if they work, then check for continuity on each side of the rheostat with a multimeter have the rheostat set on full brightness, the radio could have the dim lights wire or illumintion wire plugged in wrong, i know my the head unit i put in my HG specifically said not to have the dim signal wire connected to a variable power source such as variable dash lights. If the rheostat is fine check for power into it , if ok you might have to pull out the instruments and see if there is power to the lights wire.
