Smile EFI Heads onto a Blue 253

Gday, I have a Blue 253 in my VH Commodore and just want to know would the EFI heads of a later model commodore fit the motor.

    Cheers all

    Yeah they will.
But you need a new intake manifold, extractors and cam to suit the heads.

It will, valves are to large for the bore.

Yeah I've done it and it works fine (my bores are 30thou over), haven't really tried it out to much yet. Bit boggy down low but as soon as ya get goin she revs pretty good. I'm just using a stock EFI cam and a quaddy on mine tho. If I get another set of heads I might mock one up on a std bore 253 block and see if the valve will clear. But might not be for a while.

Nah I wanna stay carby. Only got the quaddy on there and stock cam until it passes a regency inspection. Not even sure if they'll pass it anyway coz of the VN heads and cam.

Wouldn't you just put a 308/304 in it if your going to put money into it?
