Vk calais fuse box

hello guys i was just wondering if anyone could help me i have a vk calais srt 6 and the fuse box melted
so bought a bran new one still in the box put it in and all the wires but now my car wont start so plz help me

wont sart in which way? wont crank, wont fire etc? what have you tried and not tried?

well all it does is turn but wont fire but it sounds whinny when i try.
well first i thought maybe the battery but that wasnt it but now i think it might have something to do with the EFI but im really not to sure

is the fuel pump working? there is a 7.5 amp fuse for the pump in the rail you just replaced, check to see if it has voltage.

in fact, check to see if any of them have power. remember when something goes wrong, you have to back track to see what you killed. which is why you should only do baby steps and constantly test as you go.

i didnt replace the rail but the whole box with main fuse's and all um im not to sure bout the fuel pump i will have to check but the reason i think it might be the efi is becuz when i replaced the box there was one fuse slot without a plug in it but there was in my old one

so what did you replace? the plastic box that surrounds the fuses?

im confused.

do what ari said and check all the fuses for power
and then come back and tell us your result

yes i changed the plastic box but it was the whole assembly with rail mains and all ok i will check power to fuses tomoz and let you's no ok

If you changed the whole fuse box have a look inside them I bet your missing the EFI relay

yeah see scott thats wat i think to but im not sure how to fix it do you have any suggestions on how to fix this problem

well just transfer it from your old fuse box its just a plug in option. you will need to unscrew the 2 screws that hold in the fuse rail, use a flat blade screw driver to flatted the tabs on the connector through the base of the fuse box & undo the harness connector that connects tot he fuse rail and install it into your new one.
