    Default Vb seat belt upgrade

My old pov VB does not have retractable seat belts. Where retractable seat belts available in the SLE or other models? Will VL seat belts bolt in? Pete

yeah SL/E had them, but most of them are fairly sad these days. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be any aftermarket replacement for rear retractables in VB-VL
I grabbed mine out of a VK Calais.
btw, you've got to modify the parcel shelf to make retractable seat belts fit & work properly

unfortunately no. Even my SS didn't come with them
I think VK were the first to come standard with retractable rears.

is there a way to check it out if its retrofitted?

Okay sounds like a plan. Not sure where they bolt to but I will have a look on a VL.

they bolt inside the boot between the 1/4 panels and the inner vertical panels at each side im pretty sure the bolt directly to the inner vertical panel with the same size bolt as the rest of the seatbelt bolts my vk sl has them so it would be worth checking vks too.

no not really, apart from maybe a backyarder hacked up parcel shelf
as far as I know, all models have the bolt holes there for the retractor as well as the slots in the panel under the parcel shelf.
So yeah modified parcel shelf would be the only giveaway, unless of course someone fit the right parcel shelf as well

you'll probably find they were also an option on all models as well....

klippan make them. cant remember the part numbers but if you ring autoliv, they will tell you the numbers of the retractors that fit then just get them from burson. something like 115 per retractor/buckle

im pretty sure the vk-vl rear retractables are different to the vb-vh, they sit in a different possition/angle and the locks dont work properly.
as ari666 said klippan make them, i put new ones in my vh sl/e.

they don't list rear retractables in their catalogue.... Only front retractable
rears are listed as O/E (original equipment)

I went searching for them before I bought my wrecker specials
but if that's the case, I'll give them a call because I'd prefer new seat belts. Already replaced the fronts with klippan

there wont be a direct listing for VB or VH if you didnt have them cos... well.. they didnt have them. what they will do though is tell you which one will fit. i.e. 90 degree mount, 1750mm length 300mm buckle etc (made up numbers) i posted the numbers a while ago, but have nfi where that thread went.

Was at the wreckers today salvage bits and pieces. The VB retacable bolt to the underside of the parcel self. The VL bolt the the vertical reinforcing near the guard.

kilppan part numbers as taken from here: http://www.autolivaftermarket.com/wp...27ff46abe5818f

i need to measure out everything, but my guess would be:
180-180, under parcel shelf, long 3.2M with a 275mm fixed webbed buckle would be part number K5186

Our VC SL has retractible belts front and back and they are the original belts.
