do a search about quaddies they handle heaps. whats the specs of the cam, what gearbox & diff, what intake manifold do you have?, how driveable do you want it?

yep. you need to know whats inside your engine before you can push it further.

i.e. i have NFI what a "stage 3 head" is. what cfm does it flow at what lift?

if you can take some pics we will be able to tell what manifold it is, but the heads depend on whats inside them and there is no way of knowing without checking what valves are in it.

trimatics are good. stally is also good, but you need to match the stall to your cam.

Compression and vacuum test is a good place to start to see what condition the present motor is in.

You may be better off doing an injection conversion on your 5L
drop the donk out do rings, bearings, timing chain & EFI cam, bolt on EFI heads & bananna injection manifold. At least you will know what it will have in it and eith EFI it will go alot better too.

You can also pick a suitable cam for the engine tot he heads you buy, just depends on your budget.

if you havent got any money dont fiddle with it, give it a good service like you said and leave it at that
plugs, leads, rotor button & cap, fuel, air &oil filters set the timing and just drive it.

to get a vac reading you need a vac guage. bout' 80 bucks. you can get cheaper but i wouldnt. the guage gets stuck on the full vacuum port of your carby. you can use manifold vac, but full vac is more stable. chock the wheels, chock the brakes, put it in drive and watch what the needle does. its more than just the number you are looking for, its the behaviour of the needle. vac reading will tell you all sorts of things about whats happening inside the engine.

Lol my last 202 had next to no idle vacumn thanks to the insane camkeeping inlet & exhaust valves open at idle once the rpm picked up it was awesome
