USE F#$%ing SEARCH!!!!!! This has been covered billions of times

Yes it will fit you will need to change your speedo drive in the gearbox to keep your speedo accurate, use the table on my site to work out the correct gear.

Nope cept most of the six cyl are single peggers where as most VL V8 diffs were LSD, just be aware there is a high chance there will be an issue with tail shaft distances so you might need to get modifications made, not sure of the distance issues between a 308 and a borg warner diff compared to a 308 with a Salisbury.

why do you want to change?
If you want better pickup go for a VL turbo diff, disc brake, LSD, 3.45:1 ratio or slightly better pickup VL V8 3.08:1

Go for a turbo diff because they are a four pinion centre while the normally aspirated diffs are only two pinion. Both are 3.45:1

VL V8 diff is a 4 pinion LSD as well but 3.08 ratio.

If he drives alot of freeway driving and if he is using a 4 speed or auto a 3.08 will be better as it would rev too high if he has a 5 speed the 3.45 would be fine.
Thats why I asked why he wants to change

just want better pickup thats all, it has disk brakes all round anyway but wouldnt mind a bit kickieer lol can you gat a saisbary diff with 3.08 an could i put that in to the diff i have?? or do you think that 2.90:1 is pretty good anyway?? not really for highway use, may go onn a couple of cruises but i only live down the road from work so hi revs wont bother me to much.. main reason i wanna change it is coz i can really lol..

well stick a VL turbo diff in it 3.45:1 or just go for 4.11:1 gears in your salisbury. if its pickup you want its pickup you get
