hey guys
dose anyone know if the fuel tank outa a lj torana would fit into a vh commodore?
Ummm why? The fuel tank is 63 litres in a Commodore. LJ isn't even near that.

45 litres in an LJ tank
well i wanted to change the tanks from filler it up at the back to filler it up at the rear and i didnt wanna have the trouble of cutting and welding and maybe blowing myself up lol
Well to do that, you need to get an engineer cert.

no would be completely different, not a bolt in job. can i ask why? your still going to have the hole for the old filler anyways.
if you were going to go to all that trouble just get an alloy droptank made or use a hq-wb stato tank the lj one is too small.
That doesnt make sense, they are both fuel tanks, they both hold fuel and the torana one is smaller. So you want to do work to it and the only thing you can think of is putting in another tank that will do the exact same job no better or worse then the current one. IDK, fix some of the things that are actually wrong with it, oil leaks, change the brake fluid or something lol.
RWC guys would have a field day with that mod.. Definatly would need to be engineered.
Personally I wouldnt bother wasting my time, really isnt going to achieve anything. If you want to smooth it out a little put a VN fuel flap on with the remote opening.
I think it would be a great idea to put the fuel filler at the back, just it would be a lot of work and i wouldnt use a lj tank.If you are going to do it maybe look at using a uc torana tank(still smaller, but not as small as the lj tank) and also look at cutting/using the back panel and number plate hinge out of a xd-xf falcon. If your welding and panel fab skills are not good ,dont bother doing it and also check with the rta first before touching it.
well then welding up a 4 inch hole in a 1/4 panel will be a great way for you to learn. "chuck em' in at the deep end" hey?
stick some progress pics up in your ride thread.
and ill be sticking pics up soon
