Just like to ask if patching up a dual fuel gas filler hole is a doable job or not?
The car is a VB.
I'm buying a car soon with the two filler holes and will be getting rid of the gas setup inlcuding the gas filler hole.
But I don't want to get it home and finding out that it's a massive job or something.
Please, any info would be greatly appreciated as I intend on getting the car in the next couple of days.
Thanks.
where is the hole?
if its in the rear quarter then it will depend how fussy you want to be, basically tac in a piece of body steel into the hole and stich it in keeping it as cold as possible to prevent distortion, grind back and do the inside, grind up and bog up both side, sand & paint
if its in the filler neck, you may not need to just pull it out and fit the original rubber back in.
