Default VN suspension into early Commodore

From what I've read the whole front end of a VN will bolt straight into a VB-VK, but what about the diff?
Is this a bolt in proposition?

What about springs and shocks, will the VN ones fit an early model?

I haven't played around with Commodores much so I don't know.

    Cheers.

VN-vp front end is a direct swap, rear end also is a bolt in job but diff is way wider and limits what wheels you can put on without having scrubbing problems. Rear springs fit dont know about the shocks i would imagine they would.

I got Vn springs in my vk
And last run of vk's changed from Sailsbury to Borg Warner..I think

So pretty sure Borg warers from vl is direct and Vn/vp are wider I velieve

Yeah that makes sense about the VL fitting and VN being wider. Thanks mate.

    think VL's are wider too.

only the efi 6 VK ever came out with borg warner. everything else is salisbury.

Cheers mate. Might not bother. The salisbury is better than a banjo anyway.

But I can use the springs, correct?

My 85 carb has a borgwarner under the back, i think all 6's went to it circa start 85 production or "b" vk on the chassis no.

what size and offset rims and tyres you using? as i have vt clubby/xu6 wheels 17x8 with 235/45 rubber the car is lower than superlows and still has at least 20mm per side un rolled but i had to roll them to fit 19x8 +45 offset with 245/35.
