From what I've read the whole front end of a VN will bolt straight into a VB-VK, but what about the diff?
Is this a bolt in proposition?
What about springs and shocks, will the VN ones fit an early model?
I haven't played around with Commodores much so I don't know.
Cheers.
VN-vp front end is a direct swap, rear end also is a bolt in job but diff is way wider and limits what wheels you can put on without having scrubbing problems. Rear springs fit dont know about the shocks i would imagine they would.
Cheers mate. The VN running gear in my sig may be going into an early Commodore instead of my Torana...
Yeah that makes sense about the VL fitting and VN being wider. Thanks mate.
think VL's are wider too.
only the efi 6 VK ever came out with borg warner. everything else is salisbury.
VL's are wider by about 5mm.
Cheers mate. Might not bother. The salisbury is better than a banjo anyway.
But I can use the springs, correct?
i have put a vn front end into my vb with no problem. i put a vl diff into the back and had to roll the gaurds as it was a tad wider.
hope this helps
Sweet, only lookin at the front end at the moment. I'll use the VN LSD diff I have in something else.
