Hi.
Don't worry, I've read the sticky on the V6 conversion, but I still have a problem.
I managed to destroy the diff in the VK and now have a VL with an RB30 motor and 5 speed gearbox, I don't know if it's a stock T5 or not.
And I just bought an old VP commodore S pac.
Can i basically drop the VP motor in the VK, hook up the VL's gearbox and clutch, and then use the VL diff?
Or will I have to use the VP's gearbox?
-EDIT- Because I'm going to end up using the VL diff regardless of which gearbox I use, Which brake M/C and booster do I use? The VL's or the VP's?
-EDIT AGAIN- Will I need to modify the exhaust as well or does that bolt straight in? Can I just use the VP's manifold and connect it to what's left of my VK's exhaust? What needs to be done with all of that?
-EDIT ONCE MORE- Can I use the VP/VL fuel pump and fuel lines? What do I have to do with all of that stuff?

You can use the VL fuel tank and lines, the VP engine and gearbox and front crossmember and steering rack. the VL had a hydraulic clutch im pretty sure and the VP still has a cable so just use the VP gearbox as it all bolts together with no hassles.
Why not put the RB30 in instead?
I'd prefer to use the VL gearbox because it's a manual. The VP is an auto and I've already promised that gearbox to a friend who's helping me get the car back to my place.
I was thinking about putting the RB30, because having a V6 VK is a little over used where I live.
The VL box is a nissan with integral bell housing and not a T5. It will not bolt to the V6.
Well guys, I now have a Supra 5 speed in my car now.
the RB30 was junk. so was the 3800. Looks like I'm stuck with the 202 for now
