If it's for skids 4.11's would be sweet....but if ya got the power to get lots of revs in top gear (stock 5.0L won't) then I guess you'd go back to say 3.9's or 3.45's to get the treads spinning quicker for more smoke, but ya don't wanna lose the revs. Ya want lots of rev's, and the wheels spinning as quick as possible.
I got 4.11's in my VK wagz and it's ok around town. On the highway we sat at about 3000rpm at 100km/h. It's more annoying when ya go to give it a gutfull to get around some cars and ya sittin on 6500rpm just to get passed them quickly and safely (well we like to blow the cobwebs out while we're doin it). 160/170km/h is roughly the max she goes tho, and yeah that's about 6500, could go more but just didn't wanna ring it's neck! That's with a trimatic and 15" treads on the back.
