Default which model solex locks to get?

apparently there are 2 models of solex locks to get now, the original circle key type, and a normal key type with 2 edges, which one is more secure?

Neither. Dont waste your money when you can still pop the locks or just break a window.

^this. they will stop the lucky thief with a vk key that "might" work in the factory lock, but they wont stop the thief that busts locks off.

Yeah most are like that these days. Even yesterday we picked up another VK, owner didn't have the key's, but a screwdriver unlocked the door and the ignition only needed to be turned by hand lol. NICE Products (Repco sell their gear) have new locks, I bought a set for my wagz.

But yeah solex locks are useless coz a theif will still get in by popping out the lock....atleast if ya leave the dodgy locks in there hopefully the theif will get in and out without damaging anything......a decent alarm will be better then more locks.

I didn't weld up my holes. Just installed the solex barrels without hooking them up to the actuating arms.

Then installed remote locking. Not perfect, but will slow down an honest thief.

Also replaced the standard pull up unlock with shoulderless ones.

And keep my spare remote in the boot. Shhhh, don't tell anyone.

Jonnoo, you should replace your ignition barrel,i had the same problem with my vk and nearly smashed my car. When the ignition barrel stops working like that the steering lock comes on without removing the key.So if your throttle sticks and you go for the key ,you go from having a stuck throttle to no steering.
