Thats strange because you shouldnt really get whole bank lean with a quaddy, especially after only a few minutes, you sure those couple of minutes didnt involve some tyre frying action .

check your timing, if its out it could cause it to happen, normally to both banks but stranger things have happened

needs more details. the car was idling? how did you notice they were glowing hot?

as mentioned, you cant make one side leaner than the other, cos the intake manifold feeds 2 cylinders per side on a dual plane and a single plane feeds all the same mixtures.

    weird.

Was it all four pipes glowing?Has the car been sitting around for a while and not been started?I'm thinking it might be burnt or sticky valves.

Only thing i can think of is a warped inlet manifold causing it to run lean on a couple of cylinders

That's what it was all right f$&@/d inlet put the straight edge against it and found a hughe warp on the left side in the middle that was around 1.5mm the problem now is it blew the head gasket as well lol but heads and block are still good heads are back on just gotta get a new inlet probably a edelbrock proformer

what cam you running? i can say personally that performers are pretty much a waste of time. save yourself the heart ache and get a stock replacement. carve out the joining bit of alloy between the primary and secondary venturies so they look like two kidneys rather than 4 holes, then match the ports to you heads and it will work the same/better than a performer, plus the added advantage of keeping your egr valve and heat riser.
