Hi all ,Is there any differents in diameter of a v8 brake booster compaired to a 6cyl.If so how much by?The reason i ask is that i have tall rocker covers and it is hitting the 6cyl booster.
I run a VR booster and have increased rocker cover clearances, maybe a VT one might give even better clearance
cheers
Scott

? At the moment it has standard commodore engine mounts, why would you say it wouldnt hit?Is the the booster further back on the v8,s?
well i have tall rockers and there is about 3 inches of distance between the two.
ignore the crappy flames,
i can get my arm in between the rocker and booster. prolly more like 2 inches that 3. you must have really tall rockers, or your engine mounts may be on the wrong sides.
Had another look at it today and still can't find the reason why it so close.I changed the brake booster to vh 6cyl i had lying around ,it was further away but only by about 5mm.Does the arrow on the gearbox crossmember point forward or back and is vl mount brackets higher?the ones i have are 57mm.
i couldnt tell you, but if you put the engine mounts on the wrong sides im pretty sure itll stop the engine from dropping about 2 inches.
