Default how to improve the handling of a vh

i was at a servo today and thought it was about time i checked the tyres. they were all between 14-20psi :my:

got them all up to 32 again and gee it handles much better now. steering is so much quicker.

lesson to all - keep tyre pressures up.

I check mine weekly - it's mandatory with the manual steering rack on the VC. Low tyres on that thing equals superhuman forearms!! I have a good sized compressor at home and a Jamec-Pem industrial tyre inflator. Best Christmas present I ever got (erm, requested!) - here's a picture. Means I do it at my leisure with no crappy gauges that have been dropped or driven over at the servo.

Yeah air compressors are good things to have and cheap to buy too. Jamec fittings are the best I think. Under inflated tyres not only make your car sag but it wears out your tyres bad after a while.

how much would one of the jamec tyre inflators cost? i've got a compressor, but the tyre inflator is pretty bad.

Jamec is a type of air connection fitting. But also there is a brand of tyre inflators and other goodies. They are pretty awesome quality and last a life time. Expect to pay $100.

Most good servos use them as well. I worked at a servo for a few months over some school holidays a few years ago it was company policy to take in the air lines of a night they had many go missing. We even had one flogged in daylight one day.

gotta admit, wouldn't be hard to flog. most are just slide hose connector things. then again, most have been trashed.
