    Default Rust

Hey all, have bben tackling the rust in my VK over the last few weeks. What started off as a few bubbles in the sills has turned into a major.Have done both sills and the passenger floor pan.Now I need to do the front scuttle.
Whats the best way to get at it??If you remove the dash can you get to it from behind?

Yea will try to post sum today. The front scuttle isnt to bad, someones already done the left side just gotta do the right side. The sills were quite bad,the back screen looks quite bad someones bogged it up previously. Then theres just a few bubbles on rear guards and a couple on doors etc.

well the guards and doors are pretty easy, but that front scuttle doesnt look like fun. has it affected the firewall? or is it isolated to the inner guard-bit? if you take the guard off you get much better access, but still not great. if it is the actual channel/firewall then i would say itd only be accessable with the dash off from the inside (welding upwards... yay...). also, something will probably catch fire if the dash is still in.

the rear window filler was a piece of piss. just cut off the old one and weld in a new one. i took mine off just next to the seams on the 1/4's, then cut the boot hinge supports through the middle(the beams between the bottom of the parcel shelf and the wheel housings), and the parcel shelf straight through the middle. all done at the wrecker with a hacksaw in about an hour including removal of trims/window. they charged me 75 bucks for it and some belts and garnishes. rare spares have the fillers new for 200 and something bucks.

to be honest if it has more than a few seperate holes, i wouldnt bother trying to fix what youve got, considering the whole replacement took about 3 hours and 75 bucks.

Its affected the firewall more than anything else.Iv got the guards off already so i could do the sills,Pulled the dash out today and i still cant see it.Its guna have to be welded from the engine bay.I can see the repiar on the passenger side but cant see up into the driver side for some reason.
As for the boot i was thinking of probably going for a new one.Really dont want to be doing it again later.
Seem to be having trouble uploading pics for some reason
