i know this has a sticky, I just need more info on doing a v6 conversion to my vb. il b getting a vs calais donor car and i want strip it to put into the vb. I have been and looked at the v6conversion.com.au page and it looks like just a site to buy kits. I have everything i need, iI wondering if any of you have more in depth info.

Question 1 - Can i use the vs v6 engine mounts in my vb ( i dont think i can?)
Question 2 - Do i nee to replace front struts?
Question 3 - Will i need to replace the petrol tank? (as i have a carbie atm)
    Question 4 - Should/Do i change diff?
Question 5 - Don i need to shorten the tail shaft? (i have been told yes)
Question 6 - Should i waste time and change interior?

Is there anything i have forgotten to add that you can help me with?
    Thank-you.

    Hi Alica,
Question 1 - Can i use the vs v6 engine mounts in my vb ( i dont think i can?)
No, use a VN-VS Cross member.

Question 2 - Do i nee to replace front struts?
No, your struts and suspension will bolt onto the donor K frame.

Question 3 - Will i need to replace the petrol tank? (as i have a carbie atm)
If you plan on using a standard in tank pump should bolt up give or take a hose.

    Question 4 - Should/Do i change diff?
    Probably easier than changing ratios.

Question 5 - Don i need to shorten the tail shaft? (i have been told yes)
No, you might need to change the yoke on the diff.

Question 6 - Should i waste time and change interior?
Depends if you have the time or money?

You need any parts call Steve ph:0419 105 947 in Nth Shore he wrecks all Commodore's just tell him Pat told you to call.

In reply to question six you could do what i have done with my conversion of a series one VN V6 in my VH Commy i have used the VN dash cluster and the whole VN loom to make life easier, this could be a easy way to set up the dash cluster instead of buying a bit to change the electric speedo to cable driven type.
Make use of the seats, i went and placed in front and back VS Berlina.
I also made use of a bunch of other VN-X parts here and there.
If you like to see pics to see what ya think you can look up project vh on the forum page in street commodores site cheers.

The V6 conversions wiring is very easy to wire in i recommend it rather then swapping out an entire loom for the donor cars one,
