VK and VL Questions

A freind of mine told me that when he went to insure his manual VL they asked him if it was a executive or a sl, he said exec, to which she replied it can't be as it manual, all executives where auto.Is this true?

If so, is this also true for the VK?

Yes the executive was introduced in the VK range as the model above the base level SL. The executive was aimed at the fleet market, it had two extra features above the base SL model. Power steering and auto transmission. This continued with the VL series. To confuse the issue, from VN onwards the executive became the base model, and could be had as a manual transmission.
