Vn stroker questions
GDAY GUYS. I'VE BEEN TOYING WITH THE IDEA OF GOING WITH A STROKER KIT OR REBUILDING THE 308 STANDARD STROKE. I'VE HAD A COUPLE OF QUOTES FOR THE STROKER BUT I STILL HAVE QUESTIONS. DOES THE BLOCK NEED MACHINING AT THE BOTTOM END? ARE THE KITS ON EBAY TRUSTWORTHY ? WHO'S USED WHO IN MELBOURNE AND WHAT EXPERIENCE DID YOU HAVE? I'VE BEEN TO FLOWCRAFT ,MSC PERFORMANCE AS WELL AS ALLSPARKS, THEY ALL SEEM TO KNOW THEIR STUFF AND IVE SEEN EXAMPLES OF ALL OF THE CARS THEY HAVE WORKED ON. ALL LOOKED AND SOUNDED GREAT. MY MOTOR IS IN A VB SLE WITH A T700 AND VLT LSD WITH 3.77'S. I KNOW A STALLY WILL ALSO BE NEEDED. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. STEVE

I picked up a calais. I am going to put a Pavtek Stroker in it with EFI. I will need to pick you brains as to how you did the electricals on yours.

Vn to vb transplant
Pete, mine is out of a vn so i hope this helps. We unbolted the complete k frame and put it into my vb. The wiring harness was intact so we drilled hole into the firewall and mounted the computer in the passenger footwell. Forgot to mention that the trans was put in at the same time although a new crossmember had to ordered from Castlemaine rod shop as well an accelerator cable. The battery was relocated to the boot as the pod goes into the area where my battery was. The fuel tank was replaced with a vn 90lt drop tank as I like them but more importantly it needed a tank with an internal pump. All the electrical was finally wired by a sparky to be on the safe side and i've been happily motoring like this for about two years. Steve

Just been looking on the V6 Conversions site. They do a loom to interface between the EFI Engine and VK. Problem solved. Now all I need is a big bucket of cash to get started.
