So last night something ran out infront of me I swerved and lost controal as it was raining pretty bad and hit a gutter
On the front passanger side,
The wheels ####ed and the guard has Bent in..
The front passenger caliper is hitting the bolt for the front stabilizer bar, and the front radius rod? Thing looks like it's bent.. It's hard to tell,
I had to drive it home, about.. 15km
And steering felt fine.. Other than the wheel scrubbing the whole way home..
I have some photos I will upload but that do u think i have done and need to replace ?
The whole front strut/brake thing is about 100mill back
strut tops ok? castor arm will be fragged, maybe k-frame damage. need pics
You also might have bent the K-Frame agree with ari666
red is probably stuffed
yellow is possibly stuffed
blue and green will need to be checked.

Ah I hope it's not gonna cost much
What parts can I get myself
Cos I'm broke as ATM how much do u recon it'll cost
I know it's hard to tell
But a ball park figure ?
^^thats the brake line hitting the front stabilizer^^
^^thats the radius rod or whatever the ####k their called^^
^^ and thats the wheel over the bent guard^^
But like i said it drove fine other than the scraping ?
sorry man, cant tell anything from the pics. needs to have things removed.
if it were my car, I'd be grabbing another k-frame from thewreckers complete with control arms and radius rods. It's often difficult to tell if a k-frame is bent, and if it is bent you will forever have wheel alignment issues.
but if you're desperate to save $$, then have a good close look at the control arm, strut & bearing plate, obviously the radius rod will need to be replaced. I would also replace the ball joint, irrelavent of whether it appears to be ok or not. Also check the tie rod and the tie rod end on the steering rack
without seeing it apart, to me, knowing what the suspension looks like, i would say the bottom of the strut/hub is bent (hence the repositioned caliper) or the ball joint end of the control arm is bent back (could also answer the caliper) both of which could keep the steering feeling ok.
as was said, check all the things in post#5.
with the things in my post being the yellow control arm, and the blue strut(at the bottom.)

the good thing about getting older....more toysthe bad news more headaches
Thanks mate
Yer me too !
my mate did the same in his vu, ended up costing over a grand to fix, the wheel wasnt pushed back as far as yours though.
