    Default V8 Pedal Box

Does anyone have any photos or diagrams of a V8 pedal box to see the difference between the 6 and 8.

Is it possible to modify a 6 to work ok in a V8?

    Pete

And I found this. It does not look like an easy job to modify a 6 then.

I have been looking at the difference between the 6 and V8 pedal box. The pivot position is relocated therefore if the 6 or the 8 had the same clutch clamping pressure then additional foot pressure is needed for the V8 pedal. It is obvious that the reposition is to allow for increased travel. I am thinking that if the clutch fork was shortened the proporional amount from the pivot point to the point of attachment of the cable on the pedal then the same result will be achieved and easier to modify. The hole that retains the cable at the gearbox end would need to be repositioned or angled.

Mate Is the clutch okay to select all gears? I heard reverse would be difficult. Where is the pedal at the same level as the brake or does it come further out.? Are you running a T5 box?

Yeah I would get the Dellow one. They are impossible to get at the wreckers.
Dellow have clutch forks and clips and all that as well.
This is on my list of 'things to get' for when I do the V8 conversion on my Commodore L
