Removing air con bracket VH

I want get rid of the air con in my vh and want to also remove the ugly space wasting bracket. Now, if I remove the compressor and bracket, would I need a specific bracket for the alternator to bolt onto?
What is the procedure here?

i chopped mine to pieces with the angle grinder and basically got rid of every mm of metal that wasnt needed. painted it up and it looks great.
