My VK Calais 308 factory carby has finally given up the gost.
Its leaking at the front, as the carby body is treaded.
Just after a replacement, as the motor is stock.
Any suggestions or know how on were to source another carby
Also, if anyone have a pdf of a workshop manual or the relevent page on how to remove and repace the carby, much appreaciated
how to rebuild/ modify quadrajets (also vac hose diagram)
hume performance is the place to get carbies: Hume Performance
both myself and another user on here whos name escapes me have bought carbies off "sues carbies" on ebay, and i will say dont go anywhere near their stuff. mine simply fell to pieces. metal vac hoses were just falling out of the body, gaskets were cheap crap. pump diaphram came off inside the carb. they are just horrible.
eagle spares also sell 'off the shelf' quaddies, but they are not setup for a 308. best to just send hume an email witht he specs of your engine and they will get all the right tension springs installed.
i have a rochester on my 253 that you could have for $100 its complete and should be fine hasnt been used for 6mths
