    Default compression checking

    Hello all,

As mentioned in another thread the VB got its compression checked today. It got between 120-125psi. I understand that that this does not line up with the specifications i.e. is a bit low. However, the car runs fine, blows no smoke, uses no oil.

I live at a highish altitude (870m) and today was very cold (7 degrees) - could this affect the outcome significantly?

Well, I checked it myself, as per the gregorys manual directions, and it got 136-143, using a brand new screw-in type gauge that cost $24. Seems the mechanic forgot to pull the choke out or something......or my gauge is faulty...i'll go with the former Sleep sounder now
