EFI 5L VB fires then dies??? please help

Hey guys,
driving home last night my vb died like it ran out of fuel, so rolled to servo and put 35 bucks in it, still nothing? it keeps starting then dies after the first rev, if i dont touch the pedal it wont start and also it rev's off they key? i have heard of that happening before but fogot the cause, please help me out as its my only means of transport. thanks

Maybe your fuel pump has died.

Could be your fuel filter is clogged and needs replacing.

it revs off the key, if u keep the key turned it runs for longer, dont think it has a fuel filter actually and it has a vl bosch pump on it, its working but doesnt sound like its pickn up fuel, it aint making that sound that they usually make

holding the key wont help it will just flood the system, check the fuel filter, fuel pump, take the injectors out and see if any of them are clogged, bash the fuel tank near where the lines come out cause a layer of rust can peel up and block most of the pick up.

I'd be leanin towards fuel pump since the engine can suck a bit of fuel when its cranking but not enough to actually run.

and put a fuel filter on, there like 5 bucks and can save you from ####ing your engine.

perhaps a spastic ignition module??? just throwing it out there! thats what mine was doing and it was the module, i didnt have the after run tho!
