I have a 1984 Vk commodore but its only a 4 cylinder. Im 17 and Haters gon hate but i love it and I can afford to run and insure it.
anyways
I want to lower it (60mm drop. Im buying new springs and getting them compressed but i am wondering am i able to use 6 cylinder springs in it? or are these to firm?
sorry im new to commodores and cant find any off the shelf lowering springs for 4 cylinders and the shops ive made inquiries in about buying springs haven't had a 4 cylinder VK in to lower before. So i thought id just see if anyone on here could give me any advice

rear springs are the same but the front are different just get king springs for it and if the fronts too high just get em compressed.
Hmm, did they make a 4cyl VK? What does your vin say? Engine code? Are you from NZ or something (I think 4cyl commodores went to some export markets post-VH).
I reckon you find should track down springs suitable for a VC-VH 4cyl; they have basically the same suspension....

I am fairly certain VK's never came out in a four cyl?? I would check the compliance plates as it could be a VH done up to look like a VK but yeah I agree with Jonnoo grab some springs off a starfire....

Export VK's has starfires, we never saw them but NZ did.

Kings don't make Commodore 4 cylinder springs, but the starfire engine is a heavey little sucker, so the 6 cylinder ones should be fine.
