Fuel flow sensor

Hi thr, does any1 know if the fuel flow sensor that bolts onto the engine on a VK 6 is the same as the one on a VH 6??????? And r the fuel flow sensors the same on a 6cyl and a 8cyl.

Yes, it will physically fit, 'cause the carbs are the same (for the 3.3 litre EST engine), but the trip computer on VKs was part of the Calais electronic dash. VK Calais were fitted with the 3.3litre EFI 6 cylinder, so the fuel measurement was taken from the injector pulses - there was no flow meter in the fuel line.

Thanks Zac. So if i get a VK fuel flow sensor and bolt it to my motor, run the VH fuel lines to the carb and connect it to my engine harness, it should work? I bought a VH sle and the fuel flow sensor was taken off but the whole trip comp is still in the car.

Yep, spot on! That's the beauty of Holden - just 'cause they made a new model didn't mean they changed every single component.
