I picked up a set of second hand pacemakers for my new project. Is there a quality paint that does not burn off or discolour?
you can buy the pacemaker blue from exhaust shops, its supposedly rated to 800 deg, I painted my v6 extractors 'brilliant silver' from the por15 range and they haven't discoloured or started to flake off yet.

Dont bother with paints they all flake, discolour, etc with age. Fit them and flange where they attach to your exhaust then send them off to be ceramic coated. Im doing this to my VK they will look like polished alloy

That will cost more than the extractors are worth, especially being second hand. Just paint them. Use the Pacemaker blue as said.
I bought my pacemakers now about 6 years ago after the first 3 the paint burnt off, I have used I think VHT 1500degF heat proof paint that worked well but still burnt off in time, event if the extractors are second hand the ceramic coatings are the way to go, makes them cooler on the outside, protects them, and looks great.

Was in Repco the other day and picked up some VHT very high temp flame proof header paint. Silca . Ceramic Coating 1300-2000 deg. F. in cast iron colour. I will see how it performs.
it performs just fine. have done my impala and my VK with vht and havnt had a problem with them. the impala has been covered in bog dust then washed, covered in oil and washed again, then covered in bog dust again and washed again. spanners have dropped on them, glue stuck to them which just rubs off, lots of things happened. they have done approx 5000k's and they look fine.
the day they were sprayed (2 years ago)
