    Default vh sle options??????

Hi there. Could the VH sle be ordered with manual windows in front and electric windows in back. I have a sle with this combo and upon taking the glass out of the doors I can c the back doors have little wheels for the cable Wen the front doesn't have any. Do the front suppose to have the little wheels if there electric aswel. Thanks. And 1 more thing

Does any1 have a diagram of how the cable goes in the rear doors. Took mine out to replace Bailey channel and clean/loosen a very tight electric mechanism and don't know how it goes back in. Stupid of me. Should have done 1 door at a time.

the windows on all early commodores had a cable setup for rear windows and only scissor type regulators for front for both electric and manual windows.

strange that you only have rear electric, are you sure this is standard? I know it's very common for the window motor to break away from the bracket on the front regulators so is it possible previous owner has removed the electric regs on the front windows and put standard manual regs in? do you have the full set of switches on the centre console? i.e. for front and back windows?

I'll go through all my manuals but from memory you're in for a hell of a time putting the cable setup back in place for the rears (i've tried twice in the past on other commodores and now refuse to attempt it due to failing both times to get it right)

Thanks for the quick reply drewVHSS. Yeah iv got the block in the centre console for all 4 doors and the wiring for the motors in front doors. Do the fronts have the cable setup too and if so do they have the little wheels on the doors like the back do. OH GREAT!!!! Iv done it now. A hell of a time u say. #### I do some silly things. Yeah if u could find that diagram on how the cable goes that would be great. Cheers mate.

the fronts only have scissor style reg's for both electric and manual, electric versions have a cast aluminium section where the motor is mounted which normally breaks. only the rears had cable with both manual and electric.

I think i have a couple of front power window regs to suit vh, i'll dig them out of the storage unit tomorrow and test them.
am still pulling out all my manuals to try and find my ellorys manual for you

I had no trouble putting the cables back in after I removed the windows for painting of the car. Left them out and araldited the windows closed. Worked for me as my car is registered as a 2 seater. But it does look like a nightmare to get back together.
