I've been looking for ages and have even rung Rare spares, the rubber strip on the drivers door for my VB commodore has always been missing since i've had the car. Does anyone know where i can get a hold of a replacement.
I've looked for months on ebay, checked rare spares (surprised they dont have them)
It's the protective rubber strip that is mounted halfway up the door.
I have ones for vh but they're different, vh have the channel/indent whereas vb have them mounted on clips with metal studs protruding from the door skin.
Not interested in deleting all the rubbers from the car as it's a mint original emerald green VB SL with factory air and funny enough still the original radio so i'm keen to keep this prime example as original as possible.
Is there a company that could remake one, anyone who might have one laying around or does anyone know of another supplier that would have them seeing as rare spares doesn't?
Cheers
Drew

thanks fella's, i'll get in touch with them and will let you know how i go.
Would be a shame to modify/molest the vb seeing as it's lasted 31 years and is still original inlcluding the (still working) am radio!
Mate I might have one. Give a few days to hunt around for it.
thanks vbred, i'm not in a major rush, car is more of a occasional nostalgia use only, am tempted to put it on club rego so it'll only go on outings set times a year.
So your talking about the door protection mold? Sits towards the bottom? They do turn up at wreckers etc.

A lucky owner of 2 SL/E Commodores, a rare VB SL/E and a 2 tone VC SL/E. Just need a VH SL/E and have the set!
yes that's the rubber i'm chasing. I've got replacement clips on order but couldn't find anyone with the actual mold listed or available.
VBRED sound's like he's prob a tab busy with the vk so i dont wanna make him spend all his time looking for a spare one! Lucky bugga with that calais to play with!
