Hi all new to the site,as I have just aquired a VC commy as mentioned in the heading of this post and am looking at giving it back some of it's dignity ie to restore back to factory/stock.This should be easy as it has not been molestered in any way,may just need respray, engine recon,re-upholstered and re-chroming.If resprayed are the anniversary decals on front guards reproduced somewhere/by someone?
Cheers & thanx in advance Classic 48
YEAH, I'll try to get some up here asap.If I could get it going it would then become a running concern type project.Hopefully just a fuel (lack of) prob.
looking foward to pics ,i prefer totally unmolested (grandpa spec) early commodores over heavily modded ones myself.
Totally unmolestered grandpa specs 109883 original K's with original engine,3.3 blue, here's some pix........
Enjoy Classic
BTW Solved fuel prob. in-line filter blocked and fuel hose on engine side of filter worn and cracked ,sucking air and no fuel![]()

Nice example of a limited build. Have fun with the resto work. Searching for bits and pieces is where the real fun begins

A lucky owner of 2 SL/E Commodores, a rare VB SL/E and a 2 tone VC SL/E. Just need a VH SL/E and have the set!
Nice car. Bring it back to its former glory.Have fun.
That car would be extremely rare and I'd be amazed if the commemorative stickers are available anywhere, but before you remove them for repainting, see if a local firm that makes stickers could take a pattern from the original to reproduce. That one you photographed looks immaculate - what a shame to have to remove it.
That's a very nice car. I love that colour in the VC's too, very rare.

private message me to exchange info if you want...we have our 2nd VC 50th.
As for the decals before you have it resprayed take it to a sign writer they will be able to replicate & print you off some. Do it before you have the car done so you can compare the decals and make sure they dont #### it up
