I am looking at put a v6 into my vk temporarily and want to try fitting the v6 a bit differently than normal conversions. By fitting the v6 using a ,202 vk tailshaft and Bolting the gearbox in with a 6hdd gearbox housing and using what is used a exhaust mount in the vs,it should put the gearbox in right place for the 202 tailshaft(if the gearbox crossmember is bolted the same place as 202 trimatic). Also i was going to make my own engine mounts to suit the stock vk k frame. My question is, has anyone tried doing a conversion this way and does the engine sit forward enough to clear the sump?. Also i havent got a donor car yet ,but if i used, say a vn ,would the rear housing of the 6hdd fit the vn gearbox?.
must be school holdays again, it wont work, wont get engineered
best buying duplicate parts to convert it back later
