Hey guys i was changing engine oil/filter the other day so i thourght i would replace the gearbox oil aswell, but i couldnt find a dipstick or anything, does anyone know how to replace the gearbox oil its a aussie 4 speed in my VB wagon 202 red motor.
There is a drain plug on the bottom and a fill up plug about half way up. It's a real bugger of a job to do. I don't think I've ever seen a manual anything with a dipstick.

I filled mine by removing every thing around the gear stick and using a hose and funnel. Otherwise you will need to pump it in.
The bottom bolt on the rear extension housing is the drain when you undo it. Fill it up through the plug in the side with either a pump or a soft bottle with a hose connected to the cap so you can squeeze the oil out of the bottle into the gearbox.
The ATF refill bottles work well with some extra hose on them, use VMX80 in the box works wonders
