Can you make a triple carb manifold for a 9 port head fit a 12 port head?

if so what steps would be involved?

I have a 9 port inlet manifold on my twelve port just had to add a couple of small cut outs to line up the manifold studs that dont line up and I die ground the manifold up a bit taller. The exposed vertical edges of the port inlets of the head that are exposed will cause some turbulence as the charge enters the head but still seems to work ok for me. you do have to make sure the manifold is lined up properly so the ports are covered as it is a very close fit.

Ah ok, thx for that. Would would be the better manifold to go for a fully open port or the one with the divider?

I would use the one with the divider. If you were stuck using the undivided one maybe bullnose the dividers on the head.
