    Default how do u fix back doors that dont close tight

    had my car painted and doors removed the painter put back on but now the rear doors dont close tight and hang out a bit not flush wth the rest of the car so is their a way were i can make it close tight all rubbers are on its like the latch is not catching tight and has a bit of play any ifo in how to fix would be great

    yeah stick an allens key into the striker and loosen it reposition it and tighten it, repeat until correct.

    take it back to the spray painter and say...... here fix it problem solved....more than likely its the striker but check the seals around the door make sure there not fallen from the door.
    the good thing about getting older....more toysthe bad news more headaches

    ok i tried ajusting the strikers and still da same..
    i thought the doors had just been like this after it was painted but looking at old pictures they were always like that just now that its red u notice it alot
    so any other ideas to do as i have no idea and some one out their must of had same problem and fixed it cheers

    you havent adjusted the striker enough then there is a fair bit of adjustment in them, loosen them off and slam the door closed and see if it moves in

    hey the striker is as far in as possible even tapped it in wth the hammer 2 make sure mayb the actual door hatch moves? will muck around wth it more on weekend look at my post and u will see pictures its only out by a little bit but looks shit gotta get it resolved

    Something isnt right then every VB-VL I have ever played with has had heaps of adjustment on the strikers, to the point the doors will close too far in.

    Has the car ever been in an accident?
    There arent any bump rubbers stopping?
