Vk 6 maunal not kicking over

dont know much about cars or how to fix but was wondering i brought a vk commodore maunal carby n the guy who i brought it of said i needed to replace a crank angle sensor. after buying 2 sensors the car still wont start. was wondering if anyone knew of any problems that might work for my car.

Have you checked for a spark + fuel?

Is their spark? And is fuel getting to the carby

i dont know the name of the sensor i went to the wreckers n pulled out one from a manual and another from a auto, and both didnt effect the problem.
