Understand now? Didn't think so lol.A limited slip differential (LSD) is a type of differential gear arrangement that allows for some difference in angular velocity of the output shafts, but imposes a mechanical bound on the disparity. In an automobile, such limited slip differentials are sometimes used in place of a standard differential, where they convey certain dynamic advantages, at the expense of greater complexity.
In a nutshell, instead of the diff doin single peggers, it does twins lol. If the LSD (limited slip differential) is rooted it can still do one legger peggers. The LSD centre tries locking both axles 2gether so it puts the same amount of force to both, so does twins. A normall diff centre puts the force to both, but as soon as one starts breaking traction all the force goes to that axle and u end up with a one wheeler peeler.
Had a few brews so my description might be a tad off aye, but hopefully it gives u some idea.![]()
