Can some1 help. I got a 202 with a lumpy cam (not sure wot cam it is) hydraulic lifters and other head work, nothing ported. Iv got a 350 holley with redline manifold and extractors with 2 or 2 and half inch exhaust. Standard trimatic. I got the car with a rebuilt holley. My problem is, it's hard to start. I gota pump the pedal like crazy and wen it does start, keep idle up at 3000 rpm. Once it's warm it's fine. It idles normally and starts good. But wen I put it in drive it stalls and if I give it a big rev from idle it's got a big flat spot. I'm thinking I need a small shift kit in the trimatic but it could b something more simple whr I dnt have to spend big $ to rectify. Any info would b greatly apreciated.
I would start by looking at the carby , manual or auto choke set up ? vacum leaks , float level , jet sizes

Mate I have had mega probs with my holley. Stock 202 ,headers, 2 1/4 exhaust, standard manifold with 350 holley. If you are running a redline manifold it could be leaking as it suits a red and not blue 202. I ditched the auto for an M20 and its the best thing I ever did.I have small jets and found that if the accelerator pump isnt adjusted right it wont start easy. Timing was also an issue and after a lot of adjusting finally got it right.I run power steering as well as AC and is hard to see the timing mark. Give the holley a kit and yes float levels play a big part. Is the choke manual or automatic. Mine is automatic and when hot the spring opens it wide open. Good luck.
