VH ignition barrel won't fit

I bought a new afta market ignition for a VH and I'm trying to get it in but it won't fit. It slides in to the housing but it won't line up with the sector. Afta 4 hours and slot of swearing I thought I'd try c if some1 on here could help.

you may have the wrong barrel but odds are your not pressing the little tag down on the barrell

Na Scott, I had that little spring/button pushd in. I got it now. The sector was slightly bent by a mm. Cheers for ur help
