plenum chamber cover to suit VC from rare spares? p/n#90046713.
im pretty fussy with what parts i use on the VC wagon & thought id go rare spares for quality but this thing does not go close to fitting!!
its basically a melted down icecream container dyed black & molded....poorly.

what brands have you guys used & has success with?

i had one on my vc sle when i got it, Though it came off pretty quick with the pressure hose.. Cracked and shat to pieces..
Personally, I wouldn't bother with one.. its all well and good i just keep that rubber sleeve thing that goes over sharp wall that the cover connects too.. so yea, to me it doesnt really make that much difference with or without it

Yeah don't bother with one of them, all you need to do is get some marine grade vinyl and stretch it between the two lips on the plenum and put the rubber over the top of it with some pinchweld on the one closest to the window lip then trim to fit

They were pretty crappy from original but did fit reasonably well, its job is for 2 things
1 - stop water getting intot he air inlet for the interior fan
2 - to protect the wiper motor from water

Have a look at the 85 VK/VL setup of a thick hard plastic cover for the air inlet it _should_ fit fine and for the other side they had a vynal/plastic bag over the wiper motor
