hey all,
i know there are links everywhere about this, but i really want to know what modifications need to be done if you i use a vs v6 to convert my vc.
i dont mean to be rude, but i would just like an answer, no links and what not please
thanks to anyone with help![]()
I dont care what you asked, READ THIS THREAD V6 Conversion For Vb To Vk It is exactly what your asking.
Are we talking your 4cyl VC?
If so MAJOR job, Whole front end swap, suspension brakes etc, like always use VN crossmember, rack, brakes etc throw the VS suspension out you wont use it, as per above link.
I dont know what diff is in the 4cyl, so you will prob end up needing a diff as well
You will need to contact nicefrog on ebay formally greenfoam on here and get the memcal edited to get rid of the BCM crap
what gearbox are you planning on running?

Loads of VB-VK information, All you need to know about EFI 5L Conversions Ultimate EFI 5L Conversion resource "
Wanted B Cast Heads PM for details
-copied from the sticky thread-
other than Engine, gearbox
you need the Kframe, front suspension set up, cross member and custom tail shaft, fuel tank(also run return lines as urs is carby), put in the computer(probably get an adapter to make life easy), move battery to other side so your intake pipe can go on, attach speed sensor and speedo gear's (right gear can be found in the v6 conversion thread), get an exhaust made up,
(edit: got beaten to it)
thank you
yea its my 4cyl,
i wasnt sure as to what gear box to run, i was only thinking about the vs conversion.
i wanted to know how hard it would be, compared to a normal conversion, but i think i'll stick to the normal conversion for now and get another project car in the future.
no harder than normal conversion at all just has a little bit of wiring to do. you convert a 4 banger to 6 or 8 its all the same driveline and suspension work needed.

i would consider the vs conversion for my first, but i (nor anyone i know) knows how to fit the computer, and i lack the money and knowledge for the diff and the exhaust, or any of the other parts. i don't know many people with knowledge about cars either, and i don't know enough to be able to do it alone.
i understand that the v6 would be a shit tonne better..
if i knew how to do these things successfully and get it through regency i would..
but currently i don't,
but just out of curiosity does anyone know how much it would cost to convert a vs v6 to a vc?
Mate buy youself a donor car. If you get a VS>VC loom from V6 conversions it will cost about $350 and get the security disabled. You should budget around $3,500.
