Lol, I have this exact problem, 80L tank sitting there ready to go into a carbie fed V8.
What I was going to try as its a high pressure pump is one of 2 things

1 - give it a try disconnected return blocked off it may pass fuel through turned off and the mechanical pump sill will work
2- make a new sender (gut the old one) and fit a low pressure electric pump instead, or just have a straight through pipe

I just have bigger projects to worry about atm

I would buy a new internal low pressure pump to replace the existing one (just so u know it's good), then run an external electric pump with a regulator. Don't use the EFI pump, that'll push shitloads of juice and like 95% of it will have to go thru a return and back to the tank.

Run an external pump like this.
Carter Universal Electric Fuel Pump 100GPH 6-8PSI P4600 | eBay

Along with a regulator like this.
UNIVERSAL FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR 4.5-9 HOLLEY 12-803 | eBay

Or a pump and reg package like this.
Holley Blue Electric Fuel Pumps # 12-802 | eBay

Or just use a cheap facet style pump like this (still use the regulator above).

I used one of those facet style pumps on me 308 wagz. It was ok for general driving, but when it hit 5-6000rpm it couldn't keep up. The one in the link I rekon is the next size up from wat I had I rekon, so it should be fine for ur 202. Just run one of those with the regulator and see how ya go. If u use an EFI pump ur gonna have to run a return line back to the tank. Carby motors need about 6-7psi and EFI motors are up around 45-50psi I think.
