The Injected 202s werent very good on fuel but it seems abit much, dunno where you would start to try and fix that though, afm maybe?
My Carby 202 was terrific on the highway, i got 8l per 100km going to sydney and 7.5 coming home, around town it was always 13.5l per 100 regardless how you drove.
I get around 300 - 350km's a tank in my VH.

Its a leaded car man, VL were the first to go unleaded.
get it checked out get it dynoed and might be able to stop it sucking juice
i know this is probably a stupid question but what is an AFM. Also i was getting the fuel smell too, so i dropped my tank out and all the fuel vapor leads where off. so it was filling the boot with fumes and then into the cabin.
i would show you photos of what i did but i know know how to get rid of the current uploads... :\
Ok guys 86 they went leaded only
Reason why we could do a street tune on them with leaded fuel you could keep leaning up a car running rich till on a trip you would see the inside of the tail pipe change from a black soot colour to a grey colour, with the VK EFI AFM just clicking the gear a click at a time till you got it right.
Better way to do it now is on a dyno with an O2 sensor shoved up the tailpipe and measuring the Air/Fuel ratio.
So on a dyno you can tweak the timing and adjust themixtures via the gear in the air flow meter, make sure your temp sensor for the EFI is working correctly, new plugs, rotor button & dizzy cap, make sure your leads are good. Get a full tank of BP 98 and see what they can do.
I will post a pic of inside the AFM later when I find one

yeh i put 50 bucks in and just driving to work n back everyday and maybe go see a mate that lives down the road i got 4 days out of 50 bucks and from my house to works its like 7 or 8km my speedo stopped working so i cant record how much one tank gives me
whoopsie yeah I forgot an UN :P UNLEADED THAT WAS
no lead additive required read my posts/rants re what fuel to use
When I say temp sender I dont mean your guage one, I mean the one in the side of the head of the 202 with a blue fuel injector plug on it.
Also heres a pic of under the cap of the AFM
basically the flap inside is spring loaded, spring is under tension, turning the gear increases or reduces tension allowing more air etc in altering the measurement given to the ecu, simple
Deeper still, different stages of the movement send different signals out these can be altered with resistors, you will see a contact off the flap. also you can set the start or 0 point of the flap also. if you get to this stage your better off going to a different ECU, which wasnt available when it was done this way.
