    Default turbo 400 gear box wont change where does vacuum hose go? HELP ASAP

    hey guys was just fixing my speedo cable got that done..
    Took for a drive works but now it wont change gear there is a vacuum hose on the side of the box just hanging there
    so i must have pumped it and its fallen off..

    no idea where it goes?


    where does the other end connect????

    need to know asap other wise cant drive home

    vacuum tree on the manifold, near the dizzy. This is a V8 right?

    yes its a 5ltr from a VS
    stallie, quick shift..


    hmm okay the hose is like 300mm long though unless there is an extension?

    Sl/enut us right, it goes to the vacuum tree on back of the inlet just infront of the dizzy on the old stuff. Not sure about vs though check where your Bataks vacuum hose goes to, might give you an idea, as for being so short, check the floor, under the flood and infront of the firewall, the othe end has to be there some where, I've got trimatic and it's also short, runs to a solid line much the same as a brake line

    i cant figure it out there was a hose on top of the gear box aswell i connected it to that nothing there so it must not go there. cant find any thing argh!! been looking for hours..

    Just get a vaccum source from the motor. I don't think it matters to much where from

    Most likely the breather, originally runs into the drivers side chassis rail so you dont see the oil that comes out when working hard.

    okay guys finnaly found where it went i did alot of research to try and find pictures.. where the brake booster hose is i followed that to the manifold and underneath i could feel a little nipple so i plugged it back into that and took it for another drive!

    problem fixed thanks guys!
