well i fu*&$% up...... i installed some new lifters . . .tightened up the rockers on no1 tdc . ..and bent all 12 pushrods BUT! luckily i have 12 spares off of a 149... the motor in question is a 186 with 202 hed (dont ask why) please can some one help me ! i need to no what order and when to tighten up the rockers.... please forgive my novice mistake! cheers in advance.....mike

what push rods where you using? I gather they where too long why you bent them not that I've ever been inside a 186 have noticed they are listed as a different part to 202 in parts cats.

Not sure about the rocker-pushrod clearance on the 202 but on the 3.3 there is zero clearance.
Might be best to compare the ones you used and the ones you intend to use.

Early red motor pushrods are slightly longer than the later ones. You need the correct pushrods to suit your head. The earlier heads had a cup like half a ball on top of the rocker arms and used the longer push rods. The later red heads have rockers the same as blue and black heads that bolt down in pairs and use the shorter push rods.
