Default List of parts needed for V8 into VK conversion.

Hey all, I didn't have much luck with the search option so I'll make a thread, sorry if it is repeated.

I'm after a list of all the parts I'll need to put a 308 into my '84 VK. The VK is currently an auto but that shit its self so I'm umming and arring if to change to manule. But anyway, a list and rough price for a conversion would be alot of help! I also relise that it's more than just a motor in and call it a day. So what else needs to be changed over?

If your going from a carbie 202 VK to a 5L its a straight bolt in you use the same crossmember.

If you buy a VK 5L get the engine wiring harness, you will also need the wiring harness for the fuel pump that goes in the fuse box, including the fuel pump relay. You will also need the fuel pump for the fuel tank.
You will need to have your tacho (if oyu have one) recalibrated to suit the 8.

If you go from an auto to a manual read VK auto to manual

OK Here goes!!! Assuming you buy an Engine complete with carby and engine mounts, you will need (to go manual) Aussie 4 spd V8 box and bellhousing(M20 or M21 your choice) (the V8 box has the longer front shaft) (old crossmember is same for auto Trimatic and aussie 4spd) Manual flywheel, (I recommend) 1ton Clutch plate and pressure plate Assembly. V8 Pedal box (yes they are different!!) V8 Tailshaft, V8 Yoke for Diff or maybe a VL 3.45 Diff (stronger than a Salisbury 12 bolt by miles!!), Light blue speedo cable cog [25 tooth](assuming old diff is 3.08), Radiator (the bigger the better for a 308!) Clutch fan (don't use Davies Craig thermos!!) and of course, no less than a set of decent extractors and a 2.5 in single exhaust!! Hope that helps!!
