Hi all,
Got a strange one for ya's!
Every time i turn right the left window sprayer nozzle dribbles water, flicks it onto the windscreen sometimes. No a big deal but its stains the paint from being wet constantly and i keep having to polish it.
Cant work out why, the other VK wont do it and the pipes seem to be routed the same?
Any ideas?
Cheers
my VH used to do this.
you need to install one way valve in the washer line between the pump and the l/h washer jet. I think Holden still sells them
something like this
30mm In Line One Way Washer Valve (10 Pack)
ok, so its been a while since i drove mine, but the washer is on the end of the stalk, right? any chance that the wiring is shorting on the column somewhere. its possible that it gets the teensies bit of power, and since the LHS may (or may not) be closer to the pump, it gets enough pressure to squirt that one, but not the other one.
i dunno man.
You need a one way valve as DarrenL said.
it's nothing as complicated as the switch
the air passing over the jets (as the car moves) creates a venturi effect, which actually pulls the water through the lines and out the washer jet/s. Mine used to eventually drain the bottle out, until I fitted the valves.
Holden fitted the one way valves in the later models as standard. Can't remember which model they started with, but I know VN onward have them fitted standard.
Ill see if i can get my hands on this valve, thanks for your helps guys!
lol I had an easy solution with my VK just dont fill up the bottle![]()
