efi vk commodore won't start on petrol only on gas-please help

We have just purchased a efi vk with dual fuel.It won't run on petrol.Have tried starting it on gas then flicking it to petrol but it just dies.Anyone know what it could be?Also wondering on the front of the motor on the injector rail there is a valve.whats that for?Do i need to bleed the fuel system to get it started?
Does anyone know what a new efi module is worth for one of these?

itll prolly be the fuel pump from either sitting around for ages, or more likely only being driven on LPG. the valve tests the fuel pressure. press the little button in the middle and itll squirt fuel out. watch your eyes. it frikken hurts if you get petrol in them.

Could be as little as the fuel pump fusse tho
